Apparently there will be more of the interview on the Daily Show, but below is what they showed on TV. So I wonder if this interview will help his poll numbers?
UPDATE: I’ve updated this post with the entire interview from last night’s Daily Show. Part 2 is where Stewart asks about the clemency of Clemmons and Huckabee explains that he would do the same thing again given the same circumstances (without being able to see into the future). Honestly I’ve not really heard any voice on the right I agree with on this issue except for Kevin McCullough. Stewart also seems to agree and is certainly right about one thing, that it’s easy to use this issue to take out someone you politically disagree with, but when you take a reasonable view of it you realize that the world is far more complicated than we make it and that perhaps Huckabee didn’t do anything wrong given the full context of the situation he had to deal with when he granted the clemency.
