Newt on “Mitt-a-Sketch” and Obama’s strange presidency

Newt was asked last night about whether the ‘Etch-a-Sketch’ comments really matter, especially since they weren’t made by Romney. But Newt contends they do given that they were made by his communication’s director who is pretty high up in the campaign and that they remind everyone of Romney’s intiail problem, that he flip-flops on issues depending on where he’s getting elected.

Newt also blasted a faux controversy from the media over a man in the audience who stood up and claimed Obama is a Muslim in one of his campaign events. Newt said the man didn’t ask him a question, but rather made a statement, and he’s not bound to correct the stated opinions of every one of his supporters.

But he did turn this around on the president to suggest that him being a Christian but kowtowing to the Muslim world is strange, even when it comes to oil drilling:
