I saw this last night on Anderson Cooper and just had to shake my head when I heard this North Carolina preacher, Pastor Charles L. Worley of Providence Road Baptist Church, saying that if it were up to him he’d segregate lesbians into an area protected by an electrified fence and homosexuals (gay men) into another electrified fenced in area and then have planes drop food so they can eat. And then we wait a while and they’d just die out because they can’t reproduce.
Yeah, he really said that:
That is not Bible preaching and this wouldn’t be my church if my pastor said such things. This is reprehensible in my opinion.
Look, I don’t support homosexuality either and I too get grossed out at the thought of 2 men kissing. But to treat someone who is gay in any way other than you would treat another human being is much worse in my opinion. We can disagree in love and be respectful. We can pray for those we feel are in error. But to do anything like what this pastor suggested is simply Hitler-esque.
