I have to say, I’m starting to wonder if Beck is in need of a break. I think he’s starting to let things get to him too much. The appeal of Beck to me last year was how he fused entertainment with politics. Now it seems, even to his acknowledgement, that we aren’t seeing the entertainment side that much anymore. I realize people are saying some tough things about him, but I hope that he doesn’t continue to let it get to him. When he’s able to use comedy to enhance his show or mock people his detractors, I feel like he is able to deflect it and is standing strong. But when he starts to get ultra serious, like he started both his radio show this morning and his tv show tonight, that he may be letting it get to him too much. I hope he’s able to keep his footing.
