Videos have come out today that claim to show Syrian rebels firing on two Russian pilots who ejected from the plane shot down by Turkey this morning. In the video the rebels shout “Allahu Akbar.” Another video allegedly shows one of the deceased pilots on the Syrian border. (Graphic.)

Here is the first, with them firing on the pilots.

And here is the second, showing the downed pilot.

The Daily Mail reports:

The US-trained Free Syrian Army’s First Coastal Division brought down the Russian rescue helicopter on Turkmen Mountain.

A video showed a soldier dressed in military fatigues firing the missile, before saying: ‘Allahu Akbar.’ The helicopter, which is seen in dense woodland, can then be seen burning in the background. A Russia military spokesman said it was one of two helicopters taking part in the operation. The rest of the crew was taken to the air base used by Russia in Syria.

The area where the Russian warplane went down is mainly populated by Turkmen – Syrian citizens but ethnic Turks – and is the focus of a Syrian government offensive.

The pilot in the video has since been identified as Sergei Rumyantsev, a major at Shagol air force base near Chelyabinsk, east of the Ural mountains in south-central Russia.

A third video apparently shows the rebels firing on a Russian helicopter that was searching for the pilots.
