This is what a commencement address should sound like. Allen West gave the commencement address to Northwood University graduates, extolling conservative principles of the private sector, the free market system and entrepreneurship and encouraging students to be part of the solution that helps get America back on its feet and out of this debt spiral. And in true West fashion, he also praised the fighting spirit of Americans, using the example of Pearl Harbor to bring his point home.
I gotta say that after years of listening to painful commencement addresses delivered by our president, this one delivered by West is a huge breath of fresh air.
