Antichrist Turkey’s NEW peace agreement with Israel might signal fulfillment of biblical prophecy

A few weeks ago we reported that Turkey was open to restoring ties with Israel:

HURRIYET DAILY – Turkey hopes re-elected Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will take steps to both mend ties with Turkey and pursue a sustainable peace with Palestine, Turkish Deputy Prime Minister Bülent Arınç told Israeli broadcaster Channel 2, in a rare interview following a rupture due to the Mavi Marmara incident in 2010.

Describing the election of Netanyahu as a “success,” Arınç said in a video broadcast on the website of the channel that “Turkey expects and hopes the Israeli government will express its strong political will to end strife with Palestine.”

“Thus, if Netanyahu is to make a new start, if he will make a gesture to Turkey to boost confidence in terms of restoring relations, we think that it would be right that he expresses that his will for peace is strong,” he said.

This was big because it signaled a new shift in Turkish policy toward Israel. They were ready to mend ties and so soon after the election. And it was coming from several different levels in the government, showing this wasn’t just a fluke but a real change in direction.

And it was also interesting in light of the fact that while the world was busy condemning Netanyahu for his ‘new stance’ on peace with Palestine and his ‘Arab busing comment’, neither Erdogan nor his government criticized Netanyahu for any of his statements during Israel’s election. They were just oddly quiet. Too quiet. I mean, when has Erdogan ever missed a chance to slam Netanyahu? He just did it a few months ago just because Netanyahu went to the march in Paris.

I speculated at the time that Erdogan’s silence was no coincidence:

I assure you this silence isn’t a coincidence. I think Erdogan knows that Netanyahu isn’t going anywhere for a while and if he wants to create an environment in which they can make a future covenant with Israel, then they need to start making friends fast.

Indeed they are now making friends and fast. In fact, I’m not even sure a coalition government has been formed yet (Netanyahu has until May 6).

So it’s now being reported that both Turkey and Qatar are taking the reins of the peace process and are working on a long-term truce between Israel and Hamas:

TIMES OF ISRAEL – A new proposal for a long-term ceasefire between Israel and Hamas has been put forth by Qatar and Turkey, The Times of Israel has learned.

Palestinian sources said that Turkey passed along the proposal via the Qatari ambassador to the Gaza Strip, Muhammad Al-Ahmadi, who visited Israel and even met with Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories Maj. Gen. Yoav Mordechai.

Turkish and Qatari ambassadors met with Hamas representatives in Anakara, and also in Gaza, and presented them with the framework for the plan. The details were also given to senior members of the Palestinian Authority.

According to various sources in Gaza, the basic plan, which has been dubbed “Tahdiat Ala’amar” (ceasefire for reconstruction) in the Strip, will include a five-year moratorium on hostilities between the two sides.

Turkey’s contribution to the plan is the idea of creating a floating harbor across from the Strip’s coast, where ships bringing merchandise to Gaza can drop anchor. The merchandise making its way into the Strip would go through a security check. According to the same Palestinian sources, the party responsible for the inspection would be NATO, of which Turkey is a member.

However, Israeli strongly opposes the creation of a port, even a floating one across from Gaza.

APTOPIX Mideast Israel Palestinians

This is big news! As we know from Daniel 9, the Antichrist confirms a covenant with Israel for seven years. Now obviously this is NOT that seven year covenant, however it could be the very beginning stages of how that process gets started. Or it could be a proposal that ends in dismal failure.

What is interesting to me is that it is Antichrist Turkey who is making this proposal. We know Erdogan is trying to revive the Ottoman Empire (Fourth Kingdom of Daniel 2), or what he calls the New Turkey, and plans to have it done within the next 8 years, just in time for the 100 year anniversary of the fall of the Ottoman Empire. So now he’s already taking the reins of something as important as a long-term peace between Israel and Hamas? He is nothing if he isn’t ambitious.

If Erdogan can make this work, he’ll have credibility for a future covenant that perhaps will involve solving the larger Palestinian issue, something I’m sure he has on his agenda. And if that happens, the stage will then be set for this New Antichrist Turkey’s invasion of Israel and subsequently Christ’s return.

So fasten your seatbelts. This ride looks like it is starting to get interesting.
