AWESOME new attack ad against Terry McAuliffe: “Don’t Let THEM Detroit Virginia”

Ed Morrissey calls this the “red-meatiest red-meat ad of all time” because it attacks everything liberal, from Hollywood to over-regulation to overspending to even George Soros. And it moves real fast.

The ad goes past really quickly, so I watched it five times to see if I could understand who the gang of five where etc. I think if it gets played multiple times people will understand the message and see more things every time they watch it. It is powerful.

Now that’s what I call an add. These are the kind of adds the conservatives need to develop nation wide. Hard hitting and to the point. It seems i may have seen adds like this when I was younger, but it seems that the PC decease has put too many people to bed. To hell with PC before it kills us all. Pc talk are just lies. if we’re going to fight to get our country back, you don’t bring a knife to a gun fight. We, you and me have been called every name in book by Harry Reid, and what did we say? Nothing, we just grabbed our ankles a little tighter. I know to get in to a shouting match with an idiot makes one wonder who the real idiot is, but all we’re trying to is to wake up the sleepy ones, and I believe a… Read more »

Folks, I just had a thought.

January 1st is the period of time where the Obamacare penalties start coming in full force. I think that will be good time for conservative groups to start airing ads across the country reminding voters of the promises Obama made about Obamacare (you get to keep your doctor etc., premiums will be low) A lot of folks are still asleep now (politically) and aren’t aware of this trainwreck — out of ignorance. But that sticker shock of penalties and premiums and other what-nots, might be the ticket to getting folks attention.

2013 – The Last Good Christmas.
In 2014 people are going to have to cover the huge jump in mandated health insurance costs. From 12% of income to 21% of income. And, damn few folks can take that kind of a hit without pain.

Maybe that’s what needs to happen for people to wake up.

No surprise at all, and he will lose big, he not only deserves to lose, he deserves to be made an example of after giving the tea party the cold shoulder and inlisting all the consultants that won the presidency for Obama.

I agree they attack us and our guys follows Marquess of Queensbury rules. Reagan called Carter out all the time as a tax and spend liberal. The Democrats are the extremists, They are intolerant imposing their speech and moral codes and bankrupting the nation. Call them out as economic illiterates. Talk about the misery they cause.

Meanwhile most all ads I’ve seen are McAuliffe ads attacking Cuccinelli as a woman hater that would take away women’s birth control pills and hater of coal that would put coal miners out of work (apparently the Demoncrats haven’t already put all the coal miners out of their jobs yet). Both tremendous lies of course, but that’s Democrat SOP on everything they do. This ad if full of truth but…goes way too fast: I heard Detroit and something about a cabal of 5 and gone, gone, gone into obscurity. Maybe some high tech game players could keep up?

Good ad. Shame the Republican establishment didn’t adopt this sort of honesty and tough love when we were fighting Obamacare or trying to implement spending limits.

If they did Cruz would have been the target of it….recently anyway. Instead of fighting Obamacare and the communist Democrats they were fighting Cruz.

Agreed… with a double barreled shotgun. One barrel is pointed at Ted (unfortunately), while the other one is pointed at themselves. To attack or slander Cruz is political suicide. Can’t wait to kick these old GOPe bastards out.

That’s a nice ad they have there, but where was that ad for the New Jersey Senate Race? They could have inserted Booker in for McAulife to try and help Lonergan. They did not lift a finger to help that man, DISGRACEFUL!

I think you will find that the Republican Party has abandoned Conservatives everywhere. We have a”tea party” slate in VA and the state and local parties have basically ignored the race. Very few signs up in our area. Very little cooperation or money from our local party. Same for the state.

Doesnt matter, if you are in a blue state the more corrupt you are the more Democrats want to vote for you. Its that simple.

The unfortunate truth is that Cucinelli is likely going to lose this race. It will be painted as a rejection of conservatism, and how he was too extreme and a “blow to the Tea Party”.

The sad truth is that his naked ambition put him in a deep hole, before the Convention even started. He’s also done nothing to dispel that image with the base.

I do hope I am wrong, but this race is reminiscent of the Kilgore campaign.

This is an off year election and turnout will be less. Thus, Cuccinelli’s decision not to meet with Ted Cruz in Virginia was an awful decision for candidate that’s trailing in the polls, especially with a third candidate, Robert Sarvis, whose grabbing many votes that would have been Cuccinelli’s.

Based on the GOP cave yesterday, there is one group of Americans who are eager to vote – Tea Partiers. They’re going to show up, but I believe they will vote for Sarvis because of Cuccinelli’s shun of Cruz.

I agree. I have found it very odd, he hasn’t reached out to Palin, Cruz and some of the others to come in and campaign for him. Something doesn’t seem quite right here. Levin has endorsed him but where are the others?

Darrell Griffin

He didn’t even reach out to the leaders in the grass roots Tocq. Our county’s local GOP has a well-known and highly respected Commonwealth’s Attorney and 3 former state GOP Chairs. When they speak, folks listen. Myself included, although I’m the local equivalent of Cruz and Palin to most. Nobody has heard from him other than the robocalls and usual campaign saturation. Including the aforementioned. Probably because he burned a lot of bridges to get the nomination. A nomination he promised he wouldn’t seek, and then had the Central Committee change the rules from primary to convention so as to favor his candidacy. He changed the rules in mid game. That didn’t set well with a lot of folks. He compounded it when he never looked in the rearview to those same people he ran over. He’s reached out on the national level plenty, but that once again feeds the… Read more »

The dynamic is much more complex. Cucinelli’s actions long before this point have left many, myself included, to conclude that it is all about him. People here in VA don’t like that.I’ve watched him since before he became AG.

This Sarvis guy is another example of why the GOP would be better served to kick the PaulBots to the curb. They are a disruptive cancer that serves no purpose other than dividing and undermining to begin with. The Grand Pooba of the kook cult didn’t even endorse him.

I don’t like Cucinelli much and I live in NY. He seems like a stiff, but it’s not a race that I’ve paid much attention too.

I was only criticizing Cucinelli for his snubbing of Ted Cruz. I can’t fathom his thought process since he’s trailing in the polls.

From the outside, someone in Cucinelli’s position would fair
better with support from the Tea Party and a major figure in their movement like Sen. Cruz. These people after this week are eager to get to the polls and vote.
