Susan Collins gave nothing but a defense of Kavanaugh on the Senate floor and chastised the left for taking us to a new low in what should be a solemn SCOTUS nomination process.
She went into detail as to why she doesn’t agree with the policy arguments made by the left against Kavanaugh’s nomination. It was actually a pretty good speech defending him. In fact someone wrote on Twitter:
Did Kavanaugh write Collins's speech?

After going through the policy, she comprehensively went through the sexual assault fiasc and in the end said this:
Collins: Therefore I do not believe that these charges can fairly prevent judge Kavanaugh from serving on the court.

At the very end of a very long speech laying out her defense of both herself and Kavanaugh, she said she will vote YES against Kavanaugh!!
Collins; “I will vote to confirm” Kavanaugh.

Collins is a yes. Kavanaugh has 50 votes.

Question now is whether he'll be confirmed by a tie vote or not.
Sen. Collins: "Mr. President, I will vote to confirm Judge Kavanaugh. Thank you, Mr. President."

Republicans applaud in the chamber.
