The Justice Department has just informed Andrew McCabe’s defense counsel that despite being referred by the OIG, he will not be prosecuted for lying to investigators about his role in authorizing leaks to the Wall Street Journal back in 2016:

They write that they consider the matter closed.
Now bear in mind that this may not be the end of Andrew McCabe’s legal woes. Durham’s investigation, which has the power to prosecute, is still ongoing and it may end up that he gets prosecuted for something else regarding the counterintelligence abuses at the FBI. All of that remains to be seen, but we’ll cross our fingers.
