This morning it was reported that while the jury is in their second day of deliberations, that the judge thought it wouldn’t be long before a verdict was rendered.
Well it turns out he was wrong. The jurors just sent a note to the judge requesting to be sent home for the weekend by 5pm. They plan to reconviene on Monday to continue deliberations:

Ellis would not disclose any more specifics. Jury has been deliberating for 12+ hours...
And here’s more explanation:
There will be no verdict in the Paul Manafort trial today —because a juror needs to leave deliberations at 5 p.m. for an event https://t.co/gNl1ISABiU pic.twitter.com/zh9n27sBiq

Apparently Manafort’s attorney feels this is a good development for his client:
In Manafort case, Judge Ellis said he will reconvene the jury at 5pm to ask them when they’d like to come in on Monday. Manafort defense counsel Kevin Downing says he thinks the fact that the jury wants to go home is a good sign and Manafort does too

Well there you go. Now you can enjoy your weekend without sitting by the internet waiting for the verdict.
