A man has been shot inside the gates of the Houses of Parliament.
A police officer is reportedly down and CPR is being performed, after three or four shots were fired within the gates of New Palace Yard.
Reports from inside the House of Commons suggest a second man is being held on the ground with a knife to his throat
Armed police were seen running towards the exit of the Parliamentary estate.
The House of Commons has been suspended, and MPs have been asked to stay in the chamber.

I’m also seeing reports that 2 of the people hit on this bridge are now dead…
It sounds like what has happened is that a man ran down people on the Westminster bridge as he was headed for Parliament, crashed his car at the Parliament, then got out and ran toward a police officer and stabbed him, before being shot.
That’s how it’s looking to me at this point, but I’m sure this will all clear up as we get more facts in.
