NEW from White House: “Out of consideration for the 800,000 great American workers not receiving pay and to ensure his team can assist as needed, President Trump has canceled his Delegation’s trip to the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.” - @PressSec

It’s a good thing he did that because it would have looked terrible for his administration to fly overseas during the government shutdown after he just put the kibosh on Nancy Pelosi’s trip.
It also bolster’s his argument that he’s doing this out of consideration for government workers not receiving pay, which looks more reasonable now.
Trump had already announced earlier this week (or last week) that he was not attending Davos.
