CNN is reporting that the Orlando shooter tried to buy military-grade body armor but the store refused to sell it to him:
Perez says they don’t yet know why the store refused him the sale.
So what does this attempted purchase mean? Maybe he wanted to stay alive as long as he could to kill as many people as possible or he thought he could survive a shootout and get away.
It’s all speculation at this point, but the bigger question is why didn’t this attempted purchase raise a red flag?
