This morning CNN reporter Jim Acosta got a little snarky on Twitter about Trump’s press conference where he took a question from both the Daily Mail and MSNBC. Of course, he focused on the Daily Mail reporter who was at one time considered for a position in the administration:
Isn't it a "fake news conference" to take a question from a reporter who is essentially an ally of the White House? https://t.co/vD7DgAZXIv

That didn’t go down very well amongst conservatives on Twitter:
Jim – care to guess how many questions I took from reporters who went on to join the Obama WH?? https://t.co/q57Pea4L7S

Jim, over two dozen "journalists" went to work in the Obama WH, including the former WH spokesman. https://t.co/ycAupKjOZ6

How many of your colleagues are former Clinton or Obama administration officials? https://t.co/tDHrdYGeFk

“[What has] enchanted you the most from serving in this office?” – the New York Times’ Jeff Zeleny to President Obama, 2009 WH briefing. https://t.co/miPP58mz14

If that is our metric, Obama never had a "real news conference" https://t.co/UqptXwFhrB

Pretty harsh assessment of media in the Obama years. Tough, but fair. https://t.co/tDHrdYGeFk

Again, taking questions from the unwashed is a crime to Acosta. https://t.co/41AkXkQ1ds

I wish I had time to list all the times Obama took questions from WH allies. Let's just start with Andrea Mitchell and friends at MSNBC. https://t.co/nh0PxTCCWv

Let's count how many WH reporters went to work for Obama. Wait. I lost count. https://t.co/VrkHzWk532

You should whine more. It's a good look. https://t.co/OwRWrBN7Oo

Yep. Can’t argue with any of that.
