College students melt all the way down into raving loons over Vice President of the United States honoring their commencement

“The state of college education today is completely ridiculous. Kids are taking out a quarter million in loans to attend woke warzones where roaming mobs will put them in a hospital if they don’t parrot talking points from the communist manifesto.” – @ComfortablySmug

Whether satirical or overblown, the tweet quoted above says something true about the state of higher education. Have kids? Yeah you might wanna send them to a trade school. Or the army. Because what they get from the enormous sums you’ll shell out and go in debt for mostly amounts to brain damage.

You already know about the crazed lunatics who attack conservative speakers (and fellow students) on campuses across the country. Liberals like to sneer at the suggestion these things happen, while simultaneously going on TV and social media every single day to condone and encourage it. CNN anchors and pundits were all over the place explaining that wearing a MAGA hat is asking for it. You heard the same thing after the Jussie Smollett hoax. They pen appeals in a major newspapers encouraging tampering with the food of conservative figures, and they stand up as duly elected representatives of our government and demand abuse follow Trump officials at every turn for the remainder of their lives. It’s just barely shy of demanding that those lives be cut short, and yet they have the audacity to turn around and claim that Dan Crenshaw is the one encouraging violence.

So is it even remotely a wonder that college students are, and this is a quote now, “physically shaking” from the horrific news that Vice President Mike Pence will be speaking at commencement? It shouldn’t be remotely a surprise, and it’s as bad as it sounds.

Worse, even.

“I have never been made to feel so physically ill by an email before. Taylor University, you should be ashamed of yourselves,” Claire Hadley, who graduated from Taylor in 2015, began in a long Facebook post. “I am physically shaking. The fact that the school who claims to love and support me, and each of it’s [sic] students and alum, would invite such a vile individual to speak on the most important day of the year??”

“VP Pence is no friend of mine. He does not support me. He does not support equality,” Hadley declared. “He does not uphold the values that are at the very core of the church, my own faith, and I would hope, of this University. He is rooted in hate. To stand beside President Trump would have been enough to put him on my watch list.” She argued that Mike Pence “only values you if you fit in his very narrow, white, straight, box.”

“Taylor University, I feel personally attacked,” she concluded. “Please, I’m begging you. Don’t do this.”

Imagine that this preposterous shell of a person is part of America’s future. A mind is a terrible thing to waste, they used to say. Not anymore. Nowadays a mind is just a terrible thing. And they intend to waste it, in the most B-movie sense of the word. Obliterate. Destroy. Utterly murder. That’s what they’re doing to young minds in pursuit of an idea that even they can’t sort out.

The absurd hodgepodge of ideas that generally fall under wokeness – that is, intersectionality, democratic socialism, the green movement — these things are self-contradictory, often mutually exclusive, but have one major feature in common. They don’t have a goal. They are the endless struggle on purpose. Not because there is an endless thing to struggle against, but just because they are huddling, gelatinous masses of quivering nonsense wrapped up in scotch tape and presented to the world as if it is dogmatic and principled intellectual fare.

What you think your kid is safe? You know where this happened? At the evangelical Christian school Taylor University. That’s right. That’s the school where a student said this about the VP speaking.

“Many current and former Taylor students are adamantly against some of Pence’s stances and will no doubt feel unsafe at their own graduation.”

UNSAFE. You see how far these liberal tropes travel?

That madness is what they’re dumping down kid’s throats everywhere. That’s America’s higher education. If that doesn’t make you fear for the future then nothing ever will.
