Colorado voters boot Morse, Giron from office in historic election

This is from last night but I didn’t want you to miss it. This is what happens when you mess with the 2nd amendment in America:

CBS DENVER – Two Democratic state lawmakers who backed tighter gun laws in the aftermath of mass shootings have been kicked out of office in a recall election promoted by both grassroots activists and the National Rifle Association.

Senate President John Morse lost by just 343 votes Tuesday in a swing district in the Republican stronghold of Colorado Springs but Sen. Angela Giron lost by a bigger margin in a largely blue-collar district that favors Democrats.

The NRA said the election sent a clear message to lawmakers that they should protect gun rights and be accountable to their constituents, not to “anti-gun billionaires” — a swipe against New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg, who supported Giron and Morse.

Democrats will still maintain control of the state Legislature and the laws are expected to remain in place.

“The loss of this senate seat is purely symbolic,” Morse said.

Angered by new limits on ammunition magazines and expanded background checks, gun-rights activists tried to recall a total of four lawmakers but only succeeded in launching efforts against Morse and Giron. It was the first for state legislators since Colorado adopted the procedure in 1912.

suzy000 suzy, you are so #$%^&$%^&* correct. (trying to be respectful). So sad that we have people that’l bite off their nose to spite their face. Not realizing that their non vote was a vote against them selves. Yeah suzy  I wonder many time why common sense is being chucked out the door.
Oh well, mankind in its infinite wisdom missing the boat , once again.

Now where was this determination in the 2012 election?  I know Romney was not a Conservative pick but the election in essence was a recall of Obama….our conservative voters let us down when they stayed home.  We could have recalled this community organizer and been rid of him once and for all…what a shame!

K-Bob The Sentinel The momentum has started, keep thinking positive, keep remembering you current accomplishments, and keep moving forward, and don’t let the idiot crowd distract you, we’re all in this together, remember you’re not alone in these fights. It’s now or never, especially since we haven’t had a good of a start like this in a long time, thanks to the BIKERS. We can not wait for a one man saviour to vote for, he’s gone need us as much as we need him to keep us motivated. We’re out of the starting blocks, and there is only one way forward, and never mind who misused the word ‘forward’, we know what it means, and that is all that counts.

CO2isGood jdbaird Yeah, this and the federal anti gun bill going down in flames is a good sign. I think when it comes to guns, even a lot of democrats are on board with the second amendment unfortunately they fail to realize that the people they putting in office year after year aren’t.

I forget where it was mentioned, but someone pointed out that Bloomburg’s stupid “Mayors” group spent a LOT of money hoping to save these people from recall.  Probably some DNC money went in there, as well.

This was just the light and sound check for 2014. We’re barely beginning the warmup and tuning.

jdbaird Plus, the symbolism that matters is that Morse was (at one time, or maybe at present, I don’t know) the President of the CO Senate.
That’s some serious symbolism, there.

No doubt this is a tremendous win here in Colorado.  However, the challenges are numerous:The CO GOP is in pretty sad state still (keep running Coors*.*/other establishment types)The CO DNC (with help from a passive CO GOP) voted in a horrible gerrymandered mapThat silly new voting law that makes voter fraud fairly trivialThe DNC will likely not give up this fight/state (and have the large war-chest to fight)Most of the media in this state are employees of the DNC (save a few precious outlets)
It’s a battle won – this is not a victory.   Fight on, don’t rest – turning this state back Conservative is key to also getting Levin’s plan put into action.

jdbaird Or it could be the beginning of a whole lot of symbolism. I think it is time to open a whole can of symbolism on these Lib gun-grabbers.

“The loss of this senate seat is purely symbolic.” No, there’s nothing symbolic about it, you’re actually not a state senator anymore.

PRIMARY THEM!  2014.
We can do it. Tea Party group , Conservative gorp. Libertarian group. The candidates are out there. we just need to to say no to the Progressives who have taken over the Republican party. We can BE the candidates.
Root ’em out at the state and local level where each and everyone of us can make a HUGE impact!.
All politics is local.

Excellent. Colorodo citizens rise up. Northern Colorado wants to separate. Southern Colorado is salt of the earth conservatives, so that leaves al lthe liberal mush in the middle.
Giron needed to go . She is subverting the state and was elected by a liberal enclave and a large number of illegal alien votes. She is LaRaza in makeup and heels.

This sends a strong message. When we get involved in state and local politics, when we support conservative candidates in the primaries, the elites take notice.
PRIMARY THEM IN 2014.

This is AWESOME!!! I’m so proud of those who voted these idiots out of office. EXCELLENT!
I’d like to see this on a much larger scale in 2014 – just like in 2010. And first out the door should be Boehner… closely followed by McLame and Grahamnesty as soon as possible.
