A recent poll finds that support for Democrats dropped by 3 percentage points from their last poll.
Support for a Democratic-controlled Congress appears to be slipping months ahead of November’s midterm elections, according to a new NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll.
Forty-seven percent of voters polled said they want Democrats to take the majority, compared to 40 percent who said they preferred Republicans to maintain control.
Democrats held a 10-point advantage in March.
But ironically, support for Trump fell too:
The survey showed decreased support for President Trump ahead of the elections as well, with 39 percent of respondents approving of Trump’s job, down from 43 percent approval in the poll last month.
Which doesn’t matter too much since he’s not on the ballot. But you can expect that many Dems will try to nationalize their election race in order to take advantage of Trump’s low ratings. From what I’m hearing Republicans don’t really want Trump to go campaigning for them.
