While we were grappling yesterday with the horrific shooting in Oregon, Israelis were reeling over the murders of two of their own at the hands of Palestinian Muslims. Rabbi Eitam Henkin and Naama Henkin were gunned down and murdered while in their vehicle with their children in the back seats:
An MDA paramedic, Boaz Malka, said that upon arrival, “We saw a car in the middle of the road, with a man in his 30s lying next to it with wounds to the upper body. Inside the vehicle, a woman in her 30s was seated, also with serious wounds to the upper body. They were without signs of life and regrettably we had to determine that they were dead on the spot.”
Four children were in the vehicle. The children are aged four months, four years, 7 and 9. They were unhurt and did not require evacuation to hospital.
The Muslims who did it, from the Fatah faction belonging to PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas, quickly came out and took responsibility for it, calling the murders a ‘heroic operation‘:
The “armed wing” of Palestinian Authority (PA) Chairman Mahmoud Abbas’s Fatah faction claimed responsibility for the horrific murder of a young couple outside Itamar in Samaria on Thursday night, but an Israeli response to Abbas has yet to be formulated by the government.
The Martyr Abdul-Qader al-Husseini Brigades, associated with the Al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigades and likewise affiliated with Fatah, openly posted on its Arabic-language internet site that it claims full responsibility for the “heroic operation.”
Fatah is backed by Iran.
