A former Obama Defense Department official told CNN today that there really is a need for a Space Force:
Kirby points out that both Russia and China already have space forces of their own, which is a big reason why there’s a need for it.
And a Washington Post reporter echoed a similar sentiment today on MSNBC, suggesting both Russia and China already have weapons in space that could cripple our communications, command and control space infrastructure:
So there you go. It’s not the crazy idea that some on the left are painting it out to be.
