I’ve been seeing these reports in the last couple of hours of houses on fire in Massachusetts due to gas explosions:

Here’s a map of where these explosions are. According to police 30 minutes ago, there were around 40 homes on fire:

I don’t know how this could be happening to so many homes. But I’ll update this with more information when it becomes available.

Sounds like a problem with a gas line. This according to the USA Today:
The Eagle-Tribune newspaper in North Andover reports at least one home has been demolished and several others have caught fire amid a problem with a gas line that feeds homes in Andover, North Andover and Lawrence.
