He ain’t no Sessions – Trump’s acting AG WILL NOT recuse himself!!

According to a new report from the Washington Post, Trump’s new acting Attorney General will not be recusing himself from the Mueller probe.

From the Hill:

The Washington Post, citing multiple people familiar with the matter, reported on Thursday that Matthew Whitaker does not intend to recuse himself from overseeing Robert Mueller’s probe.

The sources also said they do not believe Whitaker would approve a subpoena of President Trump as part of the probe, The Post reported.

That’s exactly what Trump has been berating Sessions over, but it must be noted that now that the Democrats will have control of the House of Representatives, they can provide some cover for Mueller. Unless Trump acts fast – which he may just do.

Meanwhile, Dems are already demanding that Sessions’ firing be investigated:

Democrats on the House Judiciary Committee are calling for an emergency hearing after Attorney General Jeff Sessions announced he was resigning at President Trump’s request on Wednesday.

House Judiciary Democrats are demanding answers for Sessions’s ousting in letters written to the panel’s GOP chairman and Sessions’s replacement, Acting Attorney General Matthew Whitaker.

Rep. Jerrold Nadler (D-N.Y.) and other Democrats pressed Whitaker, who was Trump’s pick to serve as acting attorney general, and chairman Bob Goodlatte (R-Va.) on Thursday about how the shakeup at the highest levels of the Justice Department (DOJ) will impact special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation.

Get ready for a ton of investigations, America. That’s what you voted for.
