Rocket alarms going off in southern Israel, near Gaza. Often false alarms but come after anger against Trump’s announcement to recognise Jerusalem as Israel’s capital

According to Haaretz the sirens are alarming in the city of Ashkelon:
Rocket sirens sounded in the southern Israeli city of Ashkelon and Israeli communities north of the Gaza Strip on Thursday evening.
So far there are no reports of damage yet. I hope it’s only a false alarm as the one user suggests, but I suspect it’s probably more than that given Trump’s announcement yesterday.
UPDATE:
They were actual rocket launches, but they landed in the Gaza Strip. So basically it was #HamasFail
Following the sirens that were sounded in Hof Ashkelon & Sha'ar HaNegev regional councils in southern Israel earlier this evening, 2 launches from Gaza towards Israel landed within the Gaza Strip
