Here’s Ted Cruz’s very personal story about asking God for forgiveness…

We already posted the entire Presidential Family Forum here when it was conducted last week, but it’s worth taking a look at this answer to one of the more personal questions that Frank Luntz asked the candidates to answer. Ted Cruz’s is especially poignant.

I don’t think I’ve ever heard a story of repentance and forgiveness like this from Barack Obama, have you?

It’s important to realize just how important it is to have leaders who have faced obstacles and overcome them. Obviously his parents’ divorce was terribly painful for him, but he remembers it as a moment where he understood his limitations and had to give it up to God.

I think that’s an important character trait to see in our political leaders.
