I understand that having relationships with nefarious people can be a bad sign but this just doesn’t strike me as something to go all ‘the sky is falling’ over. Sure truthers are fringe, yes, but having one friend like this doesn’t mean Imam Rauf is a truther. Look, I’m not defending Rauf because I do think he is up to no good but having a truther friend or associate just isn’t a good solid argument. Maybe the truther guy is a good guy but has this stupid hangup. Maybe Rauf thinks that he can reform this truther dude. Who knows? It’s just such a weak argument on all sides that I’m surprised BillO gave it the prominence he did.
