Even more dramatic evidence that the Obama administration was caught completely off guard by the ISIS terrorists who have captured so much of Iraq and Syria and declared a Caliphate is this video from 2011. In it, Obama’s CIA Director John Brennan says this about al-Qaeda:
“We are not going to organize our counterterrorism policies against a feckless delusion that is never going to happen”

Ironically, this is very similar to the criticism that they lobbed against George W. Bush, saying his focus was off getting Osama Bin Laden and on the two wars. So who’s feckless now, the people who said a Caliphate would never happen and didn’t plan for it, or those who just established a Caliphate?
