International commission orders border gate locked OPEN on the new private border wall built by Brian Kolfage group

The border wall that was built on private land by Kolfage’s “We Build The Wall” group is now being nullified by an international group who has ordered the gate to be locked open indefinitely, allowing illegals to easily pass through:

THE HILL – Officials have ordered a privately funded section of wall on the U.S.-Mexico border to keep its gate open indefinitely, saying organizers failed to obtain required permits, according to BuzzFeed News.

The International Boundary and Water Commission (IBWC), which oversees waterway issues between the U.S. and Mexico, said the organizers of We Build the Wall, which raised more than $23 million, had not obtained permission to build on federal land.

The half-mile barrier, on the border near Sunland Park, N.M., restricts access to a public monument and waterways, according to the IBWC.

“This is normally done well in advance of a construction project,” IBWC spokesperson Lori Kuczmanski told BuzzFeed News. “They think they can build now and ask questions later, and that’s not how it works.”

The Hill has reached out to the IBWC for further comment.

On Monday, IBWC officials propped open a large gate built into the wall, which had prevented access to a levee and a dam as well as a historic monument that begins a series of obelisks marking the border, BuzzFeed reported.

“We’re going to lock it in an open position until we come into a mutual decision on how this gate is going to operate,” Kuczmanski told the outlet.

According to Wikipedia the IWBC was “created by the United States and Mexico in 1889 to apply the rules for determining the location of their international boundary when meandering rivers transferred tracts of land from one bank to the other.”

Here’s video of illegals moving right through the open gate via Brian Kolfage:

It’s always something isn’t it? Geez.

  1. The IBWC is a commission set up decades ago to regulate and they demand
their rules and regulations be addressed. The United States is a sovereign country
whose laws and safety are of utmost importance to its survival. I’m pretty sure
the safety of our country takes precedence in this dispute.

    1. @warren-z I’m hoping Trump steps in and overrules the commission with an executive order. This is effing ridiculous.

The left and Mexico are bound determined to overrun our country with illegals.

      1. If I understood what they wrote, he’d have to also order her to shut the other umpteen gates she ordered open because the fence was working and restricting flow.

        1. @txgrunner You’re right, that is what it said. Yes, order them all closed…if he can do that.

    2. Well, the IWBC army…oh, wait…uh…

Another question, what would happen if some private citizens just stood at the gate? Personally, I want to have some huge, powerful lights, and just point them at the gate. …and all the other gates in the El Paso area.

  2. Dog and pony show anyway. Leave it open. Doesn’t matter as the undesirable will continue to get in.
Rome is burning like crazy. The Visigoths (illegal aliens) will sack this so called country completely.
Not one damn thing can be done about this fact short of total revolution.

  3. I would weld it shut and dare them to enforce it. If it were the U.N. doing it, I would add claymores as reinforcement.

  4. The Left will get their permanent voting base in here one way or another. By hook or by crook.

  5. Oh what BS. DHS, CBP and ICE need to ignore this demand and keep the border closed; let them take it to the SCOTUS, which will take years, which is what obama spent 8 years doing to usurp America’s laws. Besides, any 1889 law based upon borders, commerce, real estate, etc. is null and void when our nation is being invaded. DONE!

O/T: As we all know, SciFientists make their fortune advancing politically lucrative “science,” rooted in theories, and even lies. Regarding glaciers, this came from Townhall today:

OMG! THE GLACIERS ARE SHRINKING; THE SEAS ARE RISING…only that’s a lie. In fact, Glacier National Park recently quietly removed a sign at its visitor center saying the glaciers will disappear by 2020 which were originally placed because former President Obama believed the predictions pushed by the left’s climate change hypothesis. According to federal officials, several years in a row of high snowfall and cold temperatures totally obliterated a computer model that authorities relied on to claim that the glaciers would all be melted by 2020…https://townhall.com/tipsheet/mattvespa/2019/06/11/oh-so-thats-why-the-glaciers-will-be-gone-in-2020-sign-has-been-removed-at-a-n2547957?utm_source=thdailypm&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=nl_pm&newsletterad=&bcid=67179056832c7a142c7fbd2ddcf54548&recip=28505105

  6. This has NOTHING to do with waterways.

Having said that, It’s a 15-20 foot gate…doesn’t Border Patrol monitor it considering “they” said it’s a PRIME location for crossing? And, even if it’s monitored, aren’t INVADERS still allowed in because of OUR dumbass laws?

  7. Build a pen on our side of the gate and put a couple Komodo Dragons in it, feeding them sparingly, they work better when hungry.

  8. Right Scoop, I’m sure it’s a regional dialog thing, but you need to add that the international community is requiring Kolfage’s locked gate to be opened. It sounds kinda funny to say commission orders gate locked open. Sorry to be nit picky, but it seems a little confusing.

No international commission has the legal authority to order anything that happens in America. Remember that thing Trump has been fighting over? Sovereignty! America rules America, not any damn international community.

Honestly, Kolfage is just as confusing with his language.

      1. @muckjumper

No wall matters or is effective if it has freaking open gates in it.

        That is the point, yes.

Or also, if those manning it are under orders, explicit or implicit, to let people in.

  9. The gate is closed and locked!

    Message from Brian Kolfage:

    Dear Patriot

The IBWC has decided to close and lock the Border Wall gate we built tonight and every night going forward! They will only be opening the gate at intermittent times during the day as necessary going forward.

Further calls to the IBWC are no longer necessary and WeBuildTheWall looks forward to working with them as we continue to secure other segments of the border that they operate on.

  10. I’ve got two words for that international commission,”suck it!”, and if that’s not clear enough then how about you come and force me to lock it open! There may or may not be an “American behind every blade of grass” but there will damn sure be enough of us to forcefully eject you freakin clowns post haste!

  11. Marx suggested the “long march through the institutions” and they’re using their authority and perceived legitimacy to receive benefit of the doubt despite operating by tenuous applications of their authority which just so happen to benefit mass migration or inhibit its restriction, while serving no other obvious purpose.

Thus we must assume what should now be obvious. The ideology and its conspiracy are real and organizations like this need to be shut down.

  12. You could have just ignored them, Brian. Some heavy chains and locks, and a cardboard sign on the front that says GFY. Let the illegals all pile up there with nowhere to go. Maybe call in BP and camp about ten buses there to wait for the illegals so they can be rounded up and sent to a detention center.

Well, y’know, if anybody in government was taking this issue seriously, at least.

I know, I know. Pipe dreams.

    1. They used American police to force it open so that all those illegal immigrants that water from the meandering river could still get through.

  13. F ’em. Seriously. This is where it stops, right now! This is a fight worth fighting for.

My blood is boiling! Cut the lock and weld the gate shut. Post armed guards there. Do ANYTHING but comply. This is horribly wrong. The IWBC can go to Hell.

  14. It seems like Brian has been lying. They built part of the fence on Federal land. The more research I do the more it seems it wasn’t built entirely on private property. It has to be open because on the other side of the gate is… US land and we’re working on a dam that’s there in the waterway. Why they would build this without working with the Federal government is beyond me. It seems as if Brian is pushing this idea of the UN forcing the gate open to get more donations.
Here’s a great video that explains some of the fake news Brian is spewing.

  16. As per Kris Kobach & Brian Kolfage May 27th.

The section of wall “We Build the Wall” focused on closes a half mile gap that existed for years between the end of the El Paso, Texas border wall and Mount Cristo Rey. The gap is across from the Mexican city of Juarez. Currently, the El Paso Sector is the second busiest sector in terms of family apprehensions/UAC’s this fiscal year. Those categories now make up the majority of Border Patrol apprehensions.

Kobach explained the current wall ends abruptly and then there’s gap for about half a mile between the end of that wall and Mt. Cristo Rey in New Mexico. Mount Cristo Rey sits on the west side of El Paso. Kris said, “The gap is a half mile wide corridor and it’s literally a parking lot on the Mexican side and then you walk five steps and you are in the parking lot on the American side. There’s no barbed wire. There’s not ANY barrier. You just walk from one parking lot to the other.”

In the past, groups over a hundred in size on a typical evening would often come through this particular corridor. And while the border patrol is dealing with all the people down at the bottom of the gap in the flat area the cartels would be sending drugs up on the side of the mountain with no border control interference at all..

SO…the “gap” is now closed & there is a gate. Haven’t resources (BP) been freed up because of this new barrier or am I reading this article wrong?
The GATE can be monitored. Open during the day & close it at night.
But then, what difference does it make when we “still” invite them in?

    1. This has more to do with graft then anything. The cartels are paying off whom ever they need to get their drugs and illegals through.

  18. And the local police complied with this why? As far as I can tell this international group has no local policing authority and if they have some authority it should only apply to federal legal jurisdiction. Also their area of jurisdiction only applies to land that could possibly be affected by boundary waterways and that only having to do with pathways that the waterways have used historically. In other words, I question this international commission’s authority to do any of this or tell anyone what to do. They have no authority over immigration either nor do they have any permit issuing capacity as far as i can tell. They are as bad as the Bureau of Land Management with the same “too big for their britches” mindset.

  19. Build a pen on our side of the gate and put a couple Komodo Dragons in it, feeding them sparingly, they work better when hungry.

And willing to carry out those orders.

I don’t hold them nearly as responsible as I do the open-borders zealots who issue the orders, or the power-mad judges threatening them with who knows what if they don’t comply. And neither should you.

    1. You’re missing the point! They built it on private land and that commission can pound sand! Or they can try to invade to enforce their will and face most of Texas and the midwestern United States for their troubles! Either way they lose!

      1. They used US LEOs to force them to open the gates. Why the LEOs complied, I don’t know. If I was a cop, I’d want something signed by somebody a lot higher up my food chain than some committeewoman on a commission I never heard of before.

The point is this will require somebody in our government to countermand. I won’t be surprised if it takes months or some bureaucrat says, “we can’t” and a judge backs them up.

  24. This is OUTRAGEOUS!

They want this gate open? Fine. Leave it open and post armed guards RIGHT ACROSS THE DOORWAY. No one passes without authorization.

What are we? Mice or men?

  25. Them ‘drug runners’, um . . . excuse me . . . ‘Mexican leaders’, love open gates.

  26. I don’t know about them, but as a citizen of the United States, I don’t take orders from any “International Boundary and Water Commission”, or any other foreigners from a country I’m not friendly with. If they want to play games, open the gate, and post an armed militia, 24/7.

  27. Right Scoop, I’m sure it’s a regional dialog thing, but you need to add that the international community is requiring Kolfage’s locked gate to be opened. It sounds kinda funny to say commission orders gate locked open. Sorry to be nit picky, but it seems a little confusing.

    1. I seriously don’t think so. If that happens they will be tariffed. I give Trump more credit than falling to Mexican “end runs.”

      1. Honestly, what does a 5% tariff mean when they get foreign aid, they get all the abundance of people sending money back to that country – this is the second biggest income for Mex. They will conveniently forget, lie, cheat, steal, etc., and more aliens will get rushed to the border. The “deal” means nothing, but we all know DJT is all about the “deal”. The laugh will be, is on him. He shouldn’t listen to the RINO’s, they are making him look like a fool.

        1. I said a day or so ago that the Mexican economy depends on the money sent back into Mexico from the Mexians working here. Without that their economy would be in dire straights.

You are only addressing a 5% tariff which would increase every months all the way up to a 25% tariff. Mexico knew that a 5% tariff would financially hurt them, so they made the deal.

It is still left to be seen what will happen in the future. My money is on Trump making the pain painful if they don’t honor their end of the bargain. He didn’t cancel the tariffs, he suspended them depending on what Mexico does.

Let’s see who the last laugh is on. I’ll put my money on America.

    2. I think we now know why, even though there’s been publicity on this for 2 months, they didn’t mention anything about the gate having to be locked open until after construction was completed and after the deal with Mexico was inked.

  31. Wow, this is interesting. I knew there would be something but assumed it would be a judge. I’m sure there is one down the road in this battle.

  32. Perhaps it’s time to bring out the howitzers. We are under attack, our sovereignty is at stake, time to start shooting.

          1. Seems to me that’s another one of those “throw down your badge” moments.

And for folks that wonder why I’m so distrustful of cops, that’s a big reason. If they’ll do something like this because they want to keep that job/pension, what else will they be willing to do at the end of the day?

No different than the military that remains loyal to Maduro despite seeing firsthand the devastation he’s causing the Venezuelan people. They see it as better to stay under his roof, than rotting and dying with the people they’re supposed to be protecting. Can we really trust ours not to do the same when the chips are down? Especially after (allegedly) they personally open the gates to a thousand border jumpers?

            1. @AT In most jurisdictions the police are loyal to the people. For example, over half of the counties in Illinois have declared themselves sanctuaries against the draconian gun laws. Local sheriffs are not enforcing unconstitutional laws. It’s somewhat different in the liberal enclaves of course. I will continue to refute your bias and barely disguised hatred for law enforcement.

              1. I don’t have a bias or a hatred, so you’re refuting your own imagination.

In most jurisdictions the police are loyal to the people.

Yea, you go ahead and put your blind trust in I’m From The Government And I’m Here To Help. That’s about your speed.
