A few of you have noticed that the original chat has gotten a recent face lift. The problem with the old one was that it would get bitterly slow at times and even skip messages. It was giving me a headache! The new one is much faster and much more stable. It also has some benefits that I like, including a pop-out window.
A few words about the new one. You can log in via your Facebook account or you can create a Chatroll account. The advantages of the Chatroll account is that you don’t have to spill the beans on who you are if you don’t want to. I know alot of your facebook accounts have your real identities, so you can choose which one suits your needs.
Also, if you are using The Right Scoop Chat in a pop-out window and you have problems with it not sending messages, just go back to the embedded version and that should *hopefully* solve your problem. It’s possible, as with any system, that it can suffer from slow downs (like twitter!!!!!) or other problems occasionally, but all in all I think this is a much better solution.
