John Bolton: Putin’s main goal isn’t annexation of Crimea or other parts of Ukraine…

John Bolton makes the case that Putin’s main goal in the Ukraine is to install a more Russian-sympathetic government in Ukraine, not the annexation of Crimea or even parts of Ukraine. He points out that if Russia were to annex Crimea, he would be greatly lessening the chances of getting a puppet government in Ukraine because a large portion of the Russia population in Ukraine are in Crimea.

Only if he can’t install a puppet government, Bolton suggests, then he may use military force to take Crimea and Eastern Ukraine.

Where unleashed by liberty, the impersonal forces of competitive free enterprise are proven to deliver better standards of living than those preaching centralized control could even begin to imagine.

MAJORITY of RUSSIANS living in Ukraine are in their Eastern and Southern regions, not Crimea. Bolton, of all people, should know more about the place before making stupid statements. At least HALF of Ukraine speaks RUSSIAN as their native tongue. And already flying Russian flags across most cities in Eastern Ukraine, what used to be called Donbas region and “gifted” by Lenin to Ukraine in 1920.

Also, any reason no one in USA is reporting that a number of Right Sector Nazi Party leaders, the people we have installed in Kiev, junta really, have been and ARE fighting on the side of radical islamists against Russians and AMERICANS. In Libya, Iraq, Georgia, Afghanistan, Chechnya and now Syria.

Or this inconvenient truth somehow does not fit our plans in Ukraine? Since when do we openly support and finance Nazis?

The Russians are warning of the link between the neo-nazis in Ukraine, who have six officials in the new Kiev government, the loss of weapons from the Ukraine armories and the history of some of the neo-nazis fighting with the jihadists in Chechnya.

In particular, shoulder anti-aircraft weapons (Man-Pads) have been taken. These ‘portable air defense systems’ are what brings down helicopters and airplanes in Libya, Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan and mysterious airliners lost in various parts of the world.

Since commercial airliners have always been prime target against modern civilization by the AQ and Muslim Brotherhood doctrine, these weapons are highly sought after.

Ukraine is now a treasure chest of lost weapons. And part of their new “improved” government is allied with the terrorists.

Putin is not going to destroy us with war. Everything that has been happening is the build up to the removal of the US as a military power, an economic power, the moral authority and the diplomatic engine… Every change that has happened is to this end Did you notice as Obama pushed homosexual marriage and rights, Russia created the antithesis of them, India’s supreme court suddenly re-outlawed sodomy, Uganda and other African nations did the same, the entire middle east did a crack down on homosexuals. The issue was to remove the US as any moral authority The DADT policy change , the women in combat , the reduction of troop levels ,, the removal of seasoned patriotic Generals,…….all designed to reduce our military power.. Obama ALLOWING Pvt Manning to get his hands on ALL the diplomatic cable and ALLOWING Snowden to get his hands on all the NSA… Read more »

No, his real purpose in “annexing” the Ukraine is to help stop the onslaught of global warning. Those Ukrainians use more coal and heating oil per capita than Russia. This has to stop. John Kerry supports their position on global warming. That’s why Obama has done nothing to stop them.

There’s a reason why this us not being covered on the major news outlets.

I once lived in Bridgeport Pa. and there are a lot of Ukrainians living there. Putin should be lucky he still has an army and that the ukes didn’t steal it from him. There were a few times I would come home to find my Ukrainian neighbor using my water and my outdoor electric. A little advice to Putin. Don’t let your troops drink and sell all of the arms like they did in the Afgan war. If Putin turns out the lights, its all over for him.

I think Bolton missed the fact that the Crimean parliament voted overwhelmingly to SECEDE(something along the lines of 76-0) from the Ukraine and become a part of the Russian country. Next the citizens of the Crimea get to vote on whether to stay with the Ukraine or join Mother Russia. I don’t know where Bolton sees 50-50 in the people of Crimea, but parliament must not have ONE Ukrainian in it. Isn’t this called DEMOCRACY!? Isn’t that what we WANT nations to be allowed to do, to choose whether or not they are a part of one country or not? Oh, wait, Lincoln made it clear Secession is illegal, or, wait, or it is because the only reason a State would want to SECEDE is because they have slaves? What we as a nation see as “intervention” by the Russians in a controversy over one countries right to make choices… Read more »
