Krauthammer on Putin op-ed: “These are the fruits of an EPICALLY INCOMPETENT foreign policy”

Krauthammer nails it:

Well these are the fruits of a completely incompetent, epically incompetent foreign policy, diplomacy by Obama. Here is the president of the greatest democracy on earth being lectured, insulting really, in an American newspaper about human rights, about international law, about the protection of the elderly and children in wartime. I mean the hutzpah of writing that by a KGB thug whose last adventure in the world was to invade Georgia, detach two of its provinces and declare them independent, and who for the last decade has been supplying Assad, who we are essentially calling a war criminal, with huge amounts of weaponry including the elements of poison gas.

What we’re seeing here is Putin so confident of himself after Obama had to acquiesce to this face-saving negotiation that he could actually engage in this. It’s an index of how Obama has been played and continues to be right now in Geneva.

Good grief, that’s saying something! The moon bat gov. of California is signing a bill that allows illegals to have driver licenses and it won’t be required for someone to be a doctor in order to perform abortions. How it gets crazier then that I shudder to think.

He doesn’t even care about Islam. He was born to an Islamic father and educated (in Indonesia) while being the son of an Islamic step-father. Therefore, according to the Islamic text, he is a Muslim, period. No exceptions.
By claiming he is a Christian, he is an Apostate.
Apostasy in Islam (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arabic_language: ردة‎ riddah, literally means: “http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/relapse” or “http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/regress” but usually translates to “http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/apostasy”, or ارتداد irtidād) is commonly defined in http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Islam as the rejection in word or deed of one’s former religion (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apostasy) by a person who was previously a follower of Islam. Islamic scholarship differs on its punishment, ranging from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Capital_punishment#Islam – based on an interpretation of certain http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hadiths – to no punishment at all as long as they do not rebel against the http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Islamic society or religion.

lawngreen subie201 Yeah, we do deserve a payback. But sadly to say it won’t say much about the American people. Being formerly from Europe, and grew up during WWII, when the Americans and allies liberated us, America couldn’t do any wrong. America was loved for many years after, and with the adults today, they have not wavered. You mention America, and people will smile and nod their head in approval. For many  years people would not purchase any products unless it said, made in America .America is what the world used look up to. And that was one amongst the many reasons I got here. To go to the land of opportunity.

World leaders HAVE been mocking this jerk for a LONG time. Look at what happened to this joke in the WH at the G20 Summit! No one takes him seriously. Putin would never get away with an Op Ed in the NY Times with any other prez, not even Bush! As John Bolton put it, “The world must understand that America and Obama are separate until we get a REAL President.”

We are about to see if things turn our differently.
My fear, from what I see, is that the answer is ‘our communications technologies are hastening the destruction of the Republic’.
We may even have our Ciceros…Levin, Palin, Cruz, et al. but they are trying to stop an avalanche.

Laurel A I thank you for the advice and except for one the lunatics, I did get a good belly laugh a few times as they called me ignorant, moron, etc. But one was so filled with hatred toward Jews, I had to respond. Funny thing was when I called him out, the coward just ran away.

I don’t disagree with you. Over the years, I’ve said similar things and have been called out for it. But I’ll add this twist: You’d have to be crazy to be a liberal or to think like a liberal or Obama does.
Good point.

Conservator1 Laurel A Thank you. I always laugh at people, and you should too, at anyone trying to be a ‘savior of peace in the Middle East’ because there never has been peace in the Middle East in the entire history of the world.
And anyone calling Cruz, Lee, and Palin progressives doesn’t know what one is and quite frankly is just too damn dumb to deal with. I suspect you were dealing with John Birchers.

Dr. Strangelove Laurel A When responding to me in future please exhibit more intellect. I wasn’t referring to the 1st Amendment of which I am well aware of. I was referring to good old fashioned Americans who once upon a time would not have put up with that kind of propaganda printed for the benefit of despots. Now if you don’t see a problem with NY Times printed the op-ed lecturing Americans by a man who has serious blood and human rights issues on his hands…then I pity you. If you don’t see a problem with an American based newspaper biting the hand that feeds it and defecating in it’s own bed…then I pity you. Hiding behind the 1st Amendment is what people do when then have nothing else left to justify really bad behavior which is exactly what NY Times did.

Thanks for the highly intellectual and stimulating diatribe but may I suggest to you that the 1st amendment applies to the NYT as much as anybody else. In the future, please show a little respect and don’t lecture me like a small child.

Desjardins I don’t always agree with Krauthammer, but I think Krauthammer knows Obama is a snake in the grass; but one would be out of a job to state it so succinctly.  O’Reilly is the fool who thinks Obama is an amateur; and often Krauthammer takes him to task over it.  Krauthammer is not completely an establishment Republican, but he’s not a firm Constitutionalist either.. He is however, one of the few that will hammer Obama albeit in his literary flourish way.

famouswolf This is not to give you an answer or make you feel any better, but history has taken  some strange twists and turns. if we had been  alive during some of those times, and would have had the communications technologies we have today, would things have turned out any different?
If we only could understand the future, like we understand history. But since we’re humans we don’t seem to want to learn from our past.  (mistakes).

PoCoTex NPC1 The Sentinel   People better start examining their thinking process. It’s utterly insane for a nation of 300 million plus to depend, and rely solely on one person to ‘lead’ them. This thinking might have worked out in the past, way back, when a leader was a leader that agreed with its  people, and the people had full confidence in it’s leader, and all were on the same page, with a common goal. This nation used to the pride of the world to be “the melting pot” to bring people together to create a better life for all. People came here and rolled up their sleeves and made the best of the opportunities available to them. Of course many did not want to succeed and in many cases we’re reaping the results of their non efforts now. A prime example is obama’s background and his family background. In most instances… Read more »

“Well these are the fruits of a completely incompetent, epically incompetent foreign policy, diplomacy by Obama”
The Obama ‘machine’ did a masterful job getting him elected and keeping him there. Now, he has to play with political ‘Pro’s’ like Putin and he is totally out-classed and the world knows it.
