A liberal actor named Mark Duplass tweeted out something nice about Ben Shapiro and was completely shamed for it by liberals on Twitter.
Here’s his now-deleted tweet:
Here’s just an example of the mob shaming Duplass for his tweet:
A guy with Neo Nazi rattoos once offered to help change my tire. I said no thanks and called AAA. Just because he helped you, doesn’t mean he’s a good person.

Fascists who dislike Trump are still fascists.

Fascists who do a nice thing for you personally are still fascists.
Fascists who treat other people *they see as people* with genuine decency and empathy aren't remarkable or paradoxical or not fascists.
I wouldn’t tell my friends to listen to my crazy conservative uncle just because he’s a ‘nice person’. His rants are still racist, homophobic, and insane.

In just two hours after the initial tweet, Shapiro saw what was happening:
Today's Leftist lesson on Twitter: write a nice tweet about someone with whom you disagree politically, get labeled a racist sexist homophobe. Good stuff, guys. Really showing that tolerant streak.
— Ben Shapiro (@benshapiro) July 18, 2018
After caving to the mob, Duplass deleted his tweet this morning issued an apology:
So that tweet was a disaster on many levels. I want to be clear that I in no way endorse hatred, racism, homophobia, xenophobia, or any such form of intolerance. My goal has always been to spread unity, understanding and kindness. But I am going to make mistakes along the way. Sometimes I move too quickly when I get excited, or fail to do enough research, or I don’t communicant myself clearly. I’m really sorry. I now understand that I have to be more diligent and careful. I’m working on that. But, I do believe deeply in bi-partisan understanding and I will continue to do my best to promote peace and decency in the world right now. That said, I hear you. And I want to say thank you to those who reached out with constructive criticism. I have genuinely learned so much and wish everyone all the best.

Wow, the ‘tolerant’ mob strikes again! He really got snapped back hard by liberal twitter. So hard that it wouldn’t surprise me if he’s in the hospital for extreme whiplash!
In case you’re interested, here are some of the responses from conservative twitter to the apology from Duplass, including Shapiro’s:
So in 24 hours I apparently went from being a person with good intentions to a racist sexist bigot. Twitter toxifies any attempt to cross the aisle. There's no conservative Mark could have recommended who wouldn’t receive the same blowback. https://t.co/JEizw69eFH

Another successful struggle session. The sin: humbly suggesting people read those they disagree with. https://t.co/iR44lGj520

No, you had it right the first time. Listening to those you disagree with is key to enlightenment and progress.

Punishing people who show curiosity is part of a cynical agenda that requires us to remain divided and cartoonish to each other.
The backlash was for breaking ranks. https://t.co/6sxvjk9CBP
Don’t worry, @benshapiro. He did the exact same thing with me last year. Appeared twice, got gaslit by the left and acquiesced. It doesn’t matter how kind you are. https://t.co/Ellsx2bm0f https://t.co/SqeQJ3lwUn

This entire apology is because he said someone he disagrees with is still a human. https://t.co/2RxPzMipyy

It's like he's John Cleese and Kevin Kline is holding him upside down out a window. https://t.co/prnmtHtWEm https://t.co/NshHcRNTeu

Don't be too hard on @MarkDuplass ... it's tough when you depend on other entities to fund and distribute your work that employs hundreds of other people. I have no doubt he was pressured into this...but in H'wood choices are limited just like opinions https://t.co/U6JkO4W5mQ
