Lindsey Graham was on CNN this morning and said that Congress owes it to regular Americans to investigate the firing of Andrew McCabe.
Watch below at about the 3 minute mark:
Clearly, most supporters of Trump are very happy and pleased with the firing, especially as it cost McCabe his pension – which he’s pretty pissed about. Graham says that he wants McCabe to be given a chance to defend himself, and make sure that the firing wasn’t politically motivated. As far as I understand it, it appears that Sessions fired him after the FBI provided pretty good reasons to fire him. On the other hand, Trump helped the case against him by talking about it so much and tweeting about it afterward. Is a congressional investigation really necessary if there’s sufficient evidence provided by the IG report?
Graham also reiterated in this interview that if Trump fired Mueller, it would be the “beginning of the end of his presidency.”

Sounds like we’re in a good old Mexican standoff. And I’m the only Messican here.
UPDATE:
John McCain is backing Graham on insisting Mueller be allowed to finish his investigation.
Special Counsel Mueller has served our country with honesty and integrity. It’s critical he be allowed to complete a thorough investigation into Russia’s interference in the 2016 election — unimpeded.
