I’m sure for the police haters out there this is going to be another example of police killing someone who just needed help. Although the guy is white, so it may be summarily ignored.
In short, the cops pulled over a speeding car with a woman driving her boyfriend to the hospital because he was having an asthma attack. Instead of sending them on their way or escorting them, the officers called an ambulance that took 9 minutes to get there. By that time the man had become unresponsive and was pronounced dead at the hospital. The video ends saying that where the car was stopped it was only 3 miles away from the hospital.

As with most things there is probably a lot more to this story that we don’t know about and I’m not ready to just pin this on the cops. Perhaps the man wasn’t taking his medication properly which caused his girlfriend to rush him to the hospital. Or maybe this was his first asthma attack ever? I don’t know. Perhaps the girlfriend shouldn’t have stopped in the first place and called 911 to let the police know she was rushing her boyfriend to the hospital. Or maybe she should have stopped but kept some composure instead of freaking out and making the police officers think she was unfit to drive.
We should certainly wait on the facts but I’m sure to the haters out there facts won’t matter.
