Mitch McConnell just held a press conference this morning and issued a warning to Democrats about ‘presidential harassment’.
Watch:
McConnell: "The Democrats in the House will have to decide just how much presidential harassment they think is good strategy. I'm not so sure it will work for them" pic.twitter.com/2BWpHytvkJ

I started to title this post “Mitch McConnell to House Democrats: PLEASE HARASS THE PRESIDENT”, because that’s essentially what he’s saying here. He knows they’ve got 2020 ahead of them in just two years and if history is any indication, their harassment will make Trump more popular and they could lose seats in the House and potentially cede the majority back to Republicans.
Your move, Nancy.
In related news, he also had a few things to say about Kavanaugh and the victory last night:
Reporter: "Any observations on the Kavanaugh effect?"
McConnell: "Very helpful. I think the Republicans, sort of core voters, in the states that were critical of us were highly offended by the questioning of the presumption of innocence and the tactics." pic.twitter.com/Mi5x8IfBXb

McConnell said the Kavanaugh fight was like an adrenaline shot for Republicans. He also noted that the one Democrat in a red state who voted for Kavanaugh actually survived.
Yep, there’s a lesson in that for Democrats. As Mark Levin put it this morning…
Congrats to Chuck Schumer. Chuck, your Kavanaugh strategy completely backfired. Every red state Democrat who followed your orders lost.
