MSNBC’s Joy Reid thinks this normal evangelical Christian belief is so bizarre it should be a novel

We all know the Democrats, if not individually ate least as a party, treat the Bible like fiction. They don’t want anything to do with it, or the philosophy and beliefs it entails. Beliefs held by a majority of Americans.

Part of Christian faith is the belief that, eventually, this world will end and the next will begin. That belief is bizarre to MSNBC’s Joy Reid that she said out loud what most liberals only say under their breath. She compared it to fiction.

“That sounds like something out of a novel. Is it true that there are people who really believe that having Israel unified under, I mean having Jerusalem unified under total Israeli control will bring on the end times?”

Her guest, former evangelical and current progressive jerk Frank Schaeffer, who makes his living bashing his parents and former friends and family for loving God, then goes into a typical sneering “explanation” of faith that there is no point typing out here. It’s in the video if you can tolerate watching him.

You don’t have to believe what they do, or even have faith at all, to know a lot of Christians do believe this, and that it’s not rare and strange. Many have faith in the Bible and believe that the end of earth will happen in specific ways, ways that can be described, predicted, and even watched for. This is not odd or weird. Unless you’re a progressive in a bubble.

By the way, liberals also believe that the end of earth will happen in specific ways, ways that can be described, predicted, and even watched for. Why do you think they blame every strong breeze on global warming?
