MUST WATCH new political ad from Monica Wehby for Senate that might make you cry

Monica Wehby is a Republican running for US Senate in Oregon who just released this new campaign ad called “trust” that you might need kleenex to watch. Right now it’s going crazy on twitter:

Despite the claims of those promoting despotism in democracy’s name, we must realize that only a combination of knowledge, advertisement, and fortitude will be enough to preserve morality, liberty, and prosperity.

She’s pro choice C_Brother. And supports homosexual marriage. She’s a fiscal conservative, but not social. I don’t know yet how Constitutionally minded she is either. It’s a good ad, working well pulling on heartstrings of pro life folks that’s for sure and it’s working for her campaign coffers.. But dig deeper.

Conservative_Hippie

I can not find any source that says she’s pro-choice. I did find an article that said she was “personally pro life” and another that she she believes “every life is precious”. I don’t like the fact that she leaves it off her “Issues” page on her campaign site, but I can’t find a site where she has said herself that she is pro-choice.

I’m still researching the homosexual marriage stance.

Any sources you have would be be appreciated. By the way, I like the CFP endorsed candidate Perkins a lot and if I lived in Oregon I would most likely vote for Perkins in the Primary.

Yeah she is pretty weak on gay marriage. this video was eye-opening on that point…

Her stances are typical of too many politicians “I personally believe one way but feel it’s best left up to the individual and their god”
Which is fine and dandy if people had felt that enough to keep government out of things to begin with. But they didn’t. Now we need people who are willing to stand firm on their beliefs enough to change bad federal laws.

She sounds more libertarian than anything else. It irks me that she can say she’s held 23 week babies in her hands and operated on them to save their life, but then in the next breath says the decision should be left up to the woman and her family. I mean is the 23 week old baby a human being worth fighting for or not!? I pray she searches out her Faith more and lines up her words with her Faith! Ughhh!

Fabulous ad

Daggummit…That was an incredible ad…and it choked me up. I get furious when the first instinct of anyone, especially a medical doctor…is to recommend abortion at the first sign of trouble. And a beautiful child that girl is today. This is what healthcare should be.

I hope she took her daughter to see that despicable doctor who wanted to abort her…and get all up in his face with the LOVE and LIFE she was destined to become! That doctor should be ASHAMED…and should give up medicine for violating his or her Hippocratic Oath…

JohnCraven

Ditto! John Queue! Ditto!

How did this wonderful brilliant ad slip by Karl von Rove and the Big Whigs in the GOP?

She has got my complete support. I see in her what I saw in Dr. Ben Carson over 25 years ago — a great doctor who takes the Hippocratic oath seriously — “First, do no harm!”

In complete contrast, Kermit Gosnell would do the really big babies on their due date and “snip” their beautiful necks with his wife’s assistance — the most prolific mass murderer in United States history and the lord messiah, Nero Barack Hussein Obama, the most merciful was and remains completely ok with what Gosnell did to those beautiful babies. I hope more people sign up to help fund the Gosnell movie and also support Dr. Wehby.

Beautiful ad, Doc.

She’s pro abortion, pro homosexual marriage and thinks we need immigration reform. Rove backs her.

It amazes me how quickly so many doctors want to push abortion the instant they realize that the baby is not “perfect” as we usually define perfect. The true, every-day heroes surely have to include women like Lexi (and Sarah Palin) who, despite devastating diagnoses and pressure from “well-meaning” people, choose life instead. These women and their children are truly blessed. They make the world a better place.

I thought this ad was over the top. I am sure she is a great doctor. I imagine she is even very caring and attentive to her patients. However, she is a doctor. That is what she does. How does that make her senator material? I am a woman. I have seen many senators come and go. Trust me, you don’t want your senator to nurture you. You want your senator to FIGHT for you. That is why I will be voting for Jason Conger (the real pro-life candidate).

There are a number of doctors in the house and senate. e.g., Dr. Rand Paul comes to mind.

So liken “we have vote on the bill to find out what’s in it,” may apply to have to vote for the person, to find how they do. But for a conservative, she does have vexing issues.

If a person has the integrity to take a deformed baby out of another’s abortion equation and the intelligence and wisdom to reconstruct the delicate spine of an infant, I am somewhat confident that that person can balance a checkbook – as opposed to raising the “ceiling” –

Coralchristie

This doctor chose to FIGHT for the life of the baby and chose a positive action for the little girl and her family rather than a negative. She didn’t coddle she chose to act. Instead of calling to question the determination of this doctor maybe you ought to show what Mr. Conger has done that makes him a better candidate.

I don’t doubt you. I just find it very odd and disappointing. How can you run an ad like that and not be pro-life??
I know she says that she is personally pro-life, but she supports a woman’s right to choose. That’s like saying “I’m personally against murder, but hey, if that’s your thing then who am I to judge.”
Either you’re pro-life or you’re not!

badbadlibs

Late getting back here, but I saw the same saying on a political piece about JULIANNE ORTMAN who is running in Minnesota, saying that is her slogan because she’s been working on getting Minnesota off Obamacare.

patriot077

I like it regardless of origin. Is Ortman a conservative? I’m not liking what I’ve heard so far about this Oregon doc and saw your comment about Jo Rae. I’ll try to send her a couple bucks.

American Duckie

I was actually looking for who started that “slogan” first. Seems that maybe Wehby did.
I’m not so thrilled with Ortman at all.
But then again we support Phillip Parrish for that race.
But I’m not liking what I hear about Wehby either. Jo Rae’s got some originality and is very Constitutionally minded.
She could use all the support she can get. Doesn’t have the war chests that the Doc and others running have, which has dropped her into 3rd place so far in the primaries.

The skilled ones are lawyers and look what that has gotten us. The Senate was intended for people we can trust who make good decisions about life. What you see today is a perversion of that by lawyers making laws that benefit them. Lawyers should stay in the Judiciary where they were trained to be. That is not to say Webby is the right candidate.

She appears to be EXACTLY what is needed in Washington. Good, dedicated people, accustomed to serving, who DON’T NEED THE JOB! It would appear this woman has nothing to prove and no need to go to Washington to feel important. Once you do battle in the theater of life and death, politics seems do-able. I can only believe that what we see here is a woman with a servant’s heart and that’s a pretty good recommendation for a “citizen legislator”.
