Yesterday in a tweet Trump mockingly suggested that ‘Mini Mike’ Bloomberg, who he mocks as supremely short, shouldn’t stand on any boxes during the debate:
What Mini Mike is doing is nothing less than a large scale illegal campaign contribution. He is “spreading” money all over the place, only to have recipients of his cash payments, many former opponents, happily joining or supporting his campaign. Isn’t that called a payoff? …..

…..Mini is illegally buying the Democrat Nomination. They are taking it away from Bernie again. Mini Mike, Major Party Nominations are not for sale! Good luck in the debate tomorrow night and remember, no standing on boxes!

Well sure enough, NBC News actually asked Bloomberg’s campaign if he was going to stand on a box during the debate:
NEW: Campaign officials tell @NBCNews that Mike Bloomberg will *NOT* stand on a box during tonight's debate, despite Trump's repeated claims that he requested one to boost his height

That’s hilarious. Trump’s campaign seized on the moment:
President Trump really …. put him in a box. https://t.co/0pFptdCiiM pic.twitter.com/5G6OIwmvpH

The image they posted in the tweet is this one:
I wonder if instead of a box, Bloomberg’s podium will be a little shorter tonight? That would be hilarious if it looked like he was at the kid’s podium. I doubt he’ll mess with any of that tonight. He’s got too much money riding on this election to screw it up with a bad image like that.
