One of the biggest media narratives is that there is a huge difference between moderate Muslims and the extremists who plan and attack to slaughter Westerners.
But if you listen to the sister of one of the Bataclan theater suicide bombers, she’ll say that there was absolutely no signs of his extremism from the last time they talked.
His last words to her were, “send kisses to everyone, and to my cat.”
So what do we make of this? Go through the other attacks and you’ll hear the same thing – neighbors, loved ones, and family never saw it coming, and they self-radicalized without any sign of extremism. Doesn’t that mean that it’s almost impossible to root out these terrorists apart from surveilling mosques and maybe possibly reconsidering allowing Syrian refugees in? I dunno. I’m just a guy asking questions…
