Rand Paul: The House Freedom Caucus made the bill a lot less bad…BUT… – [VIDEO]

Rand Paul isn’t excited about putting his name behind the current Obamacare reform bill that passed the House. He admits the Freedom Caucus made the bill a lot less bad, but says there are still some things in the bill that worry him greatly:

The biggest problem Paul has is the fact that the federal government is subsidizing the profit of insurance companies in this bill – to the tune of about $300-400 billion.

He wonders how this ever became a Republican idea and worries that by Republicans putting their stamp of approval on it, it sets a precedent for the future, especially since subsidies like this never go away.

Watch the video for more, but Paul basically says the bill will have to be improved before he can vote on it. And if it gets worse in the Senate with more subsidies and such, his ‘open mind’ might not stay open for very long.
