Rush says that Michael Barone is as sharp as they come when it comes to political instincts, but he can’t seem to understand why Barone is so surprised that Tea Party candidates also have sharp political instincts, especially given that many of them are part of his audience. While Rush is being quite gracious here, it’s almost like he is saying that Barone is becoming a beltway elite, but that’s just my interpretation.
