Five Six police officers have been shot in Philadelphia in what is being described as an active and ongoing scene. They were apparently serving a warrant when gunfire erupted:
FOX 10 – Five police officers have been shot and another has been injured while responding to the scene in North Philadelphia.
It happened around 4:30 p.m. Wednesday on the 3700 block of North 15th Street.
One officer has been shot in the head and is listed in critical condition while another officer was shot in the arm. The officers were taken to Temple University Hospital. Two officers are reportedly stable at Einstein Medical Center.
Other injuries regarding the other officers involved in the incident remain unclear at this time.
FOX 29’s Jeff Cole reports there are at least three officers inside a home with a shooter, who is still firing shots inside the house.
SKYFOX shows a massive police presence on the scene. SWAT has surrounded a home.
