The State Department spokesman was grilled today by reporters for ten minutes over their refusal to take a solid position on the labeling the EU is going to undertake to boycott products that come from Israeli business in the West Bank.
In short, the position of the State Department is that while they generally do not agree with boycotts, Israel shouldn’t be surprised that the international community would boycott Israeli products because of the illegitimate settlement activity.
But the State Department refuses to take an official position on the EU’s labeling because it hasn’t happened yet. And they won’t call the labeling a boycott either. They’ll only say it might be a ‘step’ towards a boycott or something.
So if the State Department won’t take a position on these boycotts against Israel, yet they condemn Israel’s settlement activity and then say that Israel shouldn’t be surprised by these boycotts, aren’t they really taking a position that the boycotts are a legitimate response to what they call illegitimate settlement activity?
These pukes hate Israel and they’d never give such a mealy-mouthed answer if this were done to another of our allies. They continue to talk out of both sides of their mouths when it comes to Israel which just proves they hate Israel but just don’t want to come out and say it. Anyone with common sense can see this and it’s infuriating.
