I really like Ted Cruz because he has distinguished himself from the other candidates by being a fighter while wearing a smile and not throwing any rhetorical bombs. But, when Chuck Todd kept pressing him again and again to explain what his immigration plan would be, his answer sounded a lot like Marco Rubio’s.

He’s saying that everything is on the table but only after we shut down the border and start really enforcing immigration laws. This is exactly what Marco Rubio says. Of course, Rubio is stained by the immigration plan he tried to pass that so many conservatives of the base saw suspiciously as simply amnesty. Ted Cruz has no such history.
