The type of HERO Americans SHOULD be hearing about: Trump awards Medal of Honor to Sergeant Major Thomas Payne, SCOURGE of ISIS Hostage-takers

Army Sgt. Major Thomas Payne joined the military to serve his country because of the events of 9/11. Because of the attack, because of the heroes in the aftermath, because it was the right and patriotic and heroic thing to do.

And being a hero is what Payne does. It’s what he did in taking part in the rescue of 75 ISIS hostages, and it’s why he was awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor today. Fittingly, on September 11th.

Here is the ceremony, and below that, some remarks on Fox News from Congressman Waltz of Florida, himself a former Army officer.

“The towers fell when I was a senior in high school,” said Payne. “It was a call to service. Love for country. And that’s when I decided that I was going to serve in the military and I chose to serve with the 75th Ranger Regiment.

On October 22, 2015 Payne was part of a joint U.S.-Iraqi special operations raid on an ISIS prison in northern Iraq that rescued 75 hostages and killed 20 ISIS fighters.

“I’m so thrilled that President Trump is bestowing the Medal of Honor on Sergeant Major Payne. These are the types of heroes America needs to be celebrating and needs to hear about because they truly operate in the shadows, they are the quiet professionals,” said Waltz.

And that’s not the only reason we need to hear about these heroes, and from these heroes. It’s also because the media hides our successes and highlights our mistakes. It’s because the media, 365 days a year including today, are actively working against the American public, against American interests at home and abroad, and are enemies of the state and of the people.

We have freedom of the press thanks to men like Sergeant Major Payne. It’s too bad it that freedom is so rancidly abused by men and women who’ve never bothered to serve their country, or really anything but their own careerism and far left anti-American, communist ideologies. If you’ve never heard of the missions Payne was part of, they are why. But you never stop hearing about how AOC and Ilham Omar are heroes and role models. They’re even being given a comic book series while cop shows are being taken off air.

That’s what you need to know about who CNN and MSNBC think are heroes and who they think are villains.

So thank God for this hero, but also thank God for the fact that we have these days alternatives to the mainstream press so we can find out who they are and what they do, and what they think.

“I wear this bracelet from one of the Green Berets that I lost in combat, but we all need to live up to their sacrifice and their family’s sacrifice and be worthy of everything they’ve done as we work through all these issues as a country,” said Rep. Waltz on Fox. “They are out there on that line making sure we never have another 9/11.”

Amen.
