“THIS IS THE MOST OPEN NOMINATION SINCE 1940”

Both Larry Sabado and Pat Caddell believe that Jeb Bush will have a much more difficult time running for president than either his father or his brother. They argue that the Republican Party has changed and there is a great deal more populism or anti-establishment feeling nowadays and with Bush being the establishment candidate he will have a tough time against the likes of a Rand Paul or Ted Cruz who both can articulate a populist message and capture that ‘lightning in a bottle’, as Sabado puts it.

Caddell believes that with the potential of a bevy of good candidates this will be the most open nomination since 1940.
