Not only has Trump preemptively declared victory this morning over N. Korean nukes, but now he’s mocking the media for downplaying it:
So funny to watch the Fake News, especially NBC and CNN. They are fighting hard to downplay the deal with North Korea. 500 days ago they would have “begged” for this deal-looked like war would break out. Our Country’s biggest enemy is the Fake News so easily promulgated by fools!

Look there is probably some truth to this. But in reality, Trump is doing the opposite by up-playing his ‘deal’ with N. Korea so much that he’s already declared victory. I mean c’mon.
I can’t help by agree with Jake Tapper here in response to what Trump’s 2020 campaign manager tweeted:
The media should be cheering @realDonaldTrump’s progress with North Korea. Instead they are trying to downplay and poke holes

Their dislike for President Trump is greater than their love of peace
“The media should be cheering”

Um no.
Certainly if there is ultimately a denuclearized and peaceful Korean Peninsula we should note such an achievement — but we are a long way from that. https://t.co/V9RSxWRioe
We’re just in the first step of the process. No denuclearization has actually happened yet.
I agree that the media should acknowledge that Trump has brought KJU to the table and what a big deal that is, but even so, there’s so much more to be done.
Let’s wait until verifiable denuclearization happens before we break out the pompoms!
