Trump selects Mitch McConnell’s wife as Transportation Secretary

Trump has selected Mitch McConnell’s wife, Elaine Chao, as his new Transportation Secretary:

POLITICO – Former Labor Secretary Elaine Chao is set to be announced later Tuesday as President-elect Donald Trump’s choice to lead the Department of Transportation, multiple sources familiar with the decision confirmed Tuesday morning.

Chao, who ran the Labor Department under President George W. Bush, met with the incoming president at Trump Tower last week and discussed labor and transportation policy, Trump’s transition team said then.

I know little about Chao other than what is state above, but Ed Morrissey says she has a solid record:
