CNN is focusing today on Trump suggesting that Japan should defend itself from N. Korea with nukes, and then saying he never said he wanted Japan to get nukes.
This seeming contradiction was enough to get the Trump spox on, Katrina Pierson, who says it’s not a contradiction at all.
It does sound like a contradiction, but Trump does this a lot. He’ll say something with just enough room for him to wiggle out later and say he never said it. Like when he called Cruz a p**sy, he suggested it was like ‘retweeting’ a comment from the audience, that he, himself, really didn’t say it.
