SO now we’re moving from fake news to just plain stupid news. For some insane reason the media is making hash about U.S. Preet Bharara refusing to resign. It’s a “showdown” with Trump!!! Uh, right, who cares. He’s gonna fire him and we’ll all move on.
Apparently the problem is that the Trump admin. told him he could stay:

And changed the deal. Again, so what? Originally the reporting was that he was going to hold on to the position.

Totally obvious that Trump is trying to fire @PreetBharara to block an investigation into Trump Organization/Tower and foreign money.

Make no mistake: the unexpected firing of Preet Bharara is bc of his Fox investigation and looking into Emoluments. Dangerous.

Preet Bharara is testing Trump and will have the loud backing of New York's tabloids (and likely NYT, which Trump adores maybe above all.)

DOJ spokeswoman confirms U.S. Attorney Preet Bharara was asked to "tender" resignation with all others, as NYT reported.

Here are some people talking about it:

So I dunno, this doesn’t seem like a big deal to me, or it seems like something perfectly within the power of the president to do, even if it might have shady consequences. The media will make a lot of this, but I doubt it’ll go far…
UPDATE!!
Just as predicted. He done got fired.
I did not resign. Moments ago I was fired. Being the US Attorney in SDNY will forever be the greatest honor of my professional life.
