U.S. official: bombing likely from 35 ISIS fighters sent to Turkey for RAMADAN; Turkey CONFIRMS

A U.S. official has told journalist Richard Engle that the deadly bombing in Turkey today was likely caused by 35 fighters sent by ISIS into Turkey for the Muslim observance of Ramadan:

It looks like Turkey is unofficially confirming that they believe it WAS ISIS, and not the Kurdish Worker’s Party:

A senior Turkish government official has told The Associated Press all initial indications suggest the Islamic State group is behind the attack at Istanbul’s Ataturk airport.

The official also said nearly 50 people were killed in the attack Tuesday at the airport’s international terminal and as many as four attackers may have been involved.

The official spoke on condition of anonymity in line with government protocol.

I’m betting journalists are STILL utterly bewildered by what they were motivated by.

We’ll update as more information is available.
